Lomer and Grace have three children, Penny, Gershom, and Gaius.
Salvation Testimony of Lomer & Grace:
Lomer: I was raised in Christian home and I was active in church especially in Sunday School. When I was 9 years old, my Aunt Emily who was our Sunday School teacher presented me the Gospel and I got saved.
Grace: Grace was raised in very devout Catholic family. But a Missionary Winsinger went to their city and won her mother to the Lord. Grace was then saved at age 10 because of the testimony and witness of the American missionary who not only shared the Gospel to them but showed love to them.
Lomer: I was trained in our local church for 6 years in the Philippines (Bible Baptist Church – Cebu City). I also went to night school at Baptist Bible College. In 1992 I was stationed in Saudi Arabia where I experienced cross-cultural ministry for 2 and a half years. It was also there in Saudi Arabia that I felt the call of God to go to Cambodia as a missionary.
Ministry Before the Mission Field:
Lomer had been in youth ministry from 1983 until 1989 then went on a tent making ministry in Saudi Arabia and did underground church ministry from 1992-1995.
Current Ministry in Cambodia:
Lomer: Church planting and leadership training are the focus of our ministry. We have a Bible Institute. For the last 16 years, God has allowed us to start 21 churches in Cambodia. Currently 7 have their own land and building. We capitalize also in soul winning and evangelism. We teach English, computer skills and have medical evangelism in the villages. In Kampong Cham we now have 3 church planting areas: Kampong Cham (the main church), Meriam Tiek (our new mission) and Soung City.
Sending Church/Mission Board:
Our sending church is Bible Baptist Church – Cebu City, Philippines. It was started by the late Missionary Dr. Bob Hughes in 1960. God has given us a great Pastor in Dr. Armie F. Jesalva. He has been our pastor since 1965. Our church website is: www.bbc-cebu.org.
It was a blessing to have the folks from FBC – New Philadelphia visit our church in Cebu in 1996.
Our support is received and sent to us by Asian Baptist Clearinghouse (ABC), it is the bridge between the churches and the missionaries. It was started in 1992 by Dr. Lloyd Baker, a veteran Baptist missionary from the United States. Today, there are more than 100 families that are using the facilities of the ABC. The ABC website is: www.abclear.org.
